Abstract: The strength and stability of the holding pole with double flat arms were analyzed. Based on the actual situation of holding pole, the typical numerical analysis load cases were selected with fully considering operation parameters of the holding pole. The static analysis of the holding pole subjected to the self-weight, lifting weight and wind load had been conducted by using the non-linear finite element method. The analysis results have played a guiding role on the construction scheme. The corresponding solving measures were proposed for load cases out of control conditions. Conclusions and suggestions can provide references for similar engineering design and construction.
