 Control and Protection System Design of Zhangbei ±500 kV Converter Station in VSC-HVDC Power Grid

摘要:  张北±500  kV柔性直流示范工程首次构建柔性直流电网,柔性直流电网内换流站的控制保护系统需要满足多换流站协调控制、直流线路故障保护及直流线路故障快速恢复等新要求,该文在传统直流换流站控制保护系统设计的基础上,提出柔性直流电网换流站控制保护系统设计方案。相比于传统直流换流站设计方案,该设计方案在源端换流站和受端换流站各配置一套站间协调控制设备,实现多换流站间协调控制;站内保护系统采用三取二方案,增配双重化的直流线路保护,实现直流线路故障快速隔离及恢复。提出的柔性直流电网换流站控制保护系统的整体技术方案,对同类工程的设计提供了完整的设计方法和思路。

Abstract:  Zhangbei ±500 kV VSC-HVDC demonstration power transmission project is the first one to build VSC-HVDC transmission power grid. The control and protection system for VSC-HVDC converter station has to meet the new needs of multi-station coordinated control, DC line fault protection and fast recovery of DC line fault. Based on the control and protection system design for traditional DC power converter station, this paper presents a design scheme of control and protection system for the converter station in VSC-HVDC power grid. Compared to the traditional one, the control system realizes multi-station coordinated control by configuring a set of coordinated control equipment in both of source side and receiving side converter station; the protection system follows the two-out-of-three principle, and realizes DC line fault fast isolation and restoration by configuring double DC line protection. Finally, this paper proposes the overall technical scheme of control and protection system of converter station in VSC-HVDC power grid, which can provide completed design method and ideas for the system design of similar projects.
