Abstract:

Icing problem of power transmission line has been existed for a long time. It has become more serious along with the global climate warming and frequent extreme weather, which will be a great challenge to the safe and stable operation of China's power grid. The types and formation mechanism of icing in transmission lines were analyzed in detail, as well as the influence of micro meteorological on the formation of icing and the security of line. On this basis, the monitoring technology of icing for transmission line, the pre-warning technology of icing, the hydrophobic coatings of anti-icing, the mechanical deicing technology, the melting ice technology for AC, DC and the passive deicing theories were analyzed in-depth. Finally, this paper introduced the new technology, new measures, new achievements and new trends for dealing with icing for transmission line, as well as the problems need to be solved urgently.
