Abstract:

This paper proposed a charging control strategy for electric vehicles (EVs) based on demand response, in which the threshold of charging price was set according to the real-time price information in order to reduce charging costs. At the same time, this paper studied the power system unit commitment problem containing large-scale EVs. On this basis, the economic scheduling model of EVs was established based on the demand response according to the prediction of the EV users’ behavior characteristics, which took the maximum profit of power grid corporation as the goal and optimized the charging price of EVs to transfer charging load. Simulation result shows that the proposed economic dispatch model can reduce the peak-valley ratio, and significantly reduce the operation cost of the system compared with the disorderly charging scenario, which can realize the economic dispatch of large-scale EVs access to power grid.
