Design and Implementation of a Multi-Agent-System Based on Electric Vehicles Operating Simulation Platform

Abstract:

 Electric vehicles operating system is a complex adaptive system, it involves a variety of entities which are difficult to be modeled accurately due to their proactivity and social ability. In this paper, the design, implementation and application of a multi agent system (MAS) (electric vehicle) operating simulation platform was introduced. With this platform, behaviors of the entities such as system operator, vehicle drivers and charging facility operators, involving in EV operating and charging facility planning, were simulated and analyzed. Based on this platform, in which characteristics of passengers traveling, EVs charging and drivers shifting were comprehensively takes into account, a digital example for electric taxis in a city in South China was used to study the charging load characteristics. The simulation result was compared with that of a traditional method and demonstrates the advantages of multi-agent-system method.
