Abstract:

The rapid developments of economics and urbanization of counties in the past three decades have led to the significant increases of power loads in many counties in China. The reasonable analysis on the various development demands and satisfaction degrees of county distribution systems has important significance to optimize the investment and improve the planning and decision-making, and then realize the sustainable development. On this background, with using Maslow demand hierarchy theory, we firstly propose the hierarchical division method for the development demand of county distribution system, and divide the development demand of distribution system into five development levels according to the probable negative impacts resulting from unfulfilled development demands. In addition, in order to facilitate the quantitative assessment on the different aspects of development needs of county distribution system, we choose five basic development demand indices as upper indices representing development demand characteristics, which are decomposed multi-dimensionally so as to acquire the sub-layer indices; and combine the indices in upper layers and sub-layers to obtain the multilevel characteristic index set. Then, the indices in the upper layer, which are calculated through the indices in the lower layers, are regarded as characteristic quantities to represent development demands in different aspects of the county distribution system and used for clustering analysis of multiple county distribution systems to obtain the typical characteristics of different categories based on improved K-means clustering algorithm. Finally, we adopt the actual data of county distribution systems in Henan province to demonstrate the proposed method.
