Interruptible Load Dispatch Model and Its Peak Load Shifting Optimization Algorithm Based on Electrical Appliance Utility

Abstract: On the basis of the level of electrical appliance utility, and in combination with the genetic algorithm, we conduct demand response dispatch on the demand side of power system, which can achieve the goal of peak load shifting in automatic real-time response on the premise of ensuring electric consumers satisfaction. Firstly, we present the definition, utility function and utility grading methods of life electrical appliances. On this basis, we introduce the peak load shifting dispatch model, the dispatch process and the algorithm analysis. Finally, through simulating the demand response dispatch of air-conditionings in office buildings, it is proved that the load peak shifting target of the automatic real-time response can be realized on the premise that customers satisfaction towards electricity supply is guaranteed, which can demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.
