Adaptive PV Power Smoothing Strategy Based on Hybrid Energy Storage Complementary

Abstract: The large-scale access in distribution network of distributed photovoltaic (PV) system will bring many unfavorable factors due to its fluctuating output power affected by environment. This paper proposes an adaptive PV power smoothing strategy based on the hybrid energy storage, which coordinates the power distribution between the battery and the super-capacitorto reach the fully use of fast responding characteristic of super-capacitor. In addition, the state of charge (SOC) feedback function of proposed strategy will have a strong adaptive ability for taking into account the SOC changing, to realize the optimization of energy utilization. Finally, we verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed strategy through the analysis.
