Integrated Design and Control Strategy of Energy Storage System in Micro-Grid

Abstract: As sunlight intensity and temperature vary, the photovoltaic power surges, resulting in the great fluctuation of power on the point connected the grid and the micro-grid. By controlling the active power of battery energy storage system, the photovoltaic power surges can be clamed down. This paper studies the operation mode of the photovoltaic-storage combined power generation system, and proposes its integrated design and control strategy. Then, this paper analyzes and designs the power conversion system for energy storage. Finally, this paper carries out the simulation study on the proposed scheme, based on the actual historical operation data of a photovoltaic power station and load. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the control strategy of the photovoltaic-storage combined power generation system. The lithium battery energy storage and grid-connected system can steadily run in grid-connected or off-grid, and the switching transition process is smooth and stable.
