Connection Modes of AC/DC Hybrid Distribution Network Based on Flexible DC Loop Network Controller

Abstract: The flexible DC technology is applied more and more widely in distribution network with the large-scale access of DC power supply and DC load including distributed generation and electric vehicle and the improvement of the power supply reliability. This paper studies a typical network structure of AC/DC hybrid distribution network including multi-terminal flexible DC loop network controller, proposes the transition targets, principle and process of the traditional AC grid to AC/DC hybrid distribution network, and presents the transition way of several typical grid. Finally, the mode and conversion process of the AC/DC hybrid distribution network including flexible DC loop network controller are cleared through dividing the work modes in case of the three-terminal flexible DC loop network controller, which provides the theoretical basis for the upgrading of the traditional distribution network to the AC / DC hybrid distribution network.
