Conversion Method for Horizontal Span of Power Transmission Tower

Abstract

In order to study the conversion method for horizontal span of power transmission tower, the force features of suspension and tension tower are considered by starting from the tower design. The main control conditions and their influences on material selection and composite indicators of tower are analyzed. The reason is provided that the span conversion should be considered or not for designing the suspension and tension tower. In addition, the calculation principle and method of span conversion are presented for suspension tower.
