By the calculation and analysis of intensity of power frequency electrical field for typical transmission line over buildings, the electric field with height limit is investigated based on the technical code for designing 110~500 kV overhead transmission line. Furthermore, the height of the tower and intensity of the power frequency electric field are optimizedly calculated, providing references for the design and construction of new power transmission lines.
