The protecting mesh between two phase conductors was used to avoid navigation-closure, during the large span stringing cable process for the Yangtze River at Dengjiaxi, which applied old ground wires. In mountain area, the arrangement of corner block and pulling field was suitable for the cable-fitting with low tension. The inversion method of tension wheel could improve the efficiency of stringing construction. The results show that the construction mode of high-tension stringing cable can ensure the cables mechanical and optical property, as well as the normal navigation of the Yangtze River, which has significant social benefit and can be used as references in the similar construction process.
