In Chuxiong and Suidong converter station of ±800 kV UHVDC transmission lines from Yunnan to Guangdong, electromagnetic disturbance occurs. The principles of fundamental electromagnetic disturbance are analyzed. According to station layouts, the electromagnetic disturbances are investigated quantitatively, the shielding requirements for valve halls and control buildings are proposed, and the corresponding shielding measurements are presented.
