Abstract

The two 370 m extra high towers are located on island, which belong to the 220 kV Zhoushan-Mainland connection project. In order to meet the requirements of the foundation force, the inclining foundation with inserted steel pipe was adopted. The foundation had many characteristics, such as large leg distance, deep foundation pit with varied depth, mass concrete, inclining foundation chimney, inserted steel pipe, and so on. Thus, it had the control problem of accurate measurement for the location dimension. Based on the relative coordinates, this paper accurately calculated the 3D coordinates for every part of the foundation, which was verified by the 3D drawing of AutoCAD. High precision positioning control was realized for the inclining foundation construction with inserted steel pipe, based on the accurate on-site measurement and position by electronic total station with coordinate positioning method.
