Finite Element Analysis on the Seismic Characteristics of Series Compensation Platform

Abstract

The series compensation platform is composed of foundation and short column, vertical support insulator, diagonal tension insulator, steel platform and series compensation equipments. The structure characteristics of series compensation platform are introduced in this paper, and nonlinear finite element model for the series compensation platform structure is built based on a real project. In the modeling process, the nonlinear characteristics of diagonal tension insulator are considered, the static calculation is carried out and earthquake action is analyzed, which could provide a theory basis for the structure design of series compensation platform.
