Review of Key Technology for Smart Substation Pilot Projects

Abstract

 

In 2009, State Grid Corporation of China proposed the development goal of building a strong smart grid, and arranged 47 pilot projects of smart substations in 2 batches, of which 41 smart substations had been completed and put into operation by the end of 2011. The key technologies and equipments applied in these 41 pilot projects of smart substations were introduced, with the problems in the pilots’ construction sorted out, and the experience of construction design summed up, which would be of great significance to the construction of smart substation in future.
