Abstract:

In order to solve the conductor updip problem during the tension stringing of conductor with 900 mm2 nominal cross section occurred in Chongqing Section 3 of ± 800 kV Jinping-Sunan power transmission project, a new method that could overcome and effectively solve the updip problem of large cross-section bundled conductor has been found, through the analysis on updip mechanism, simulation tests and field tests. Then, through the force analysis, the calculation formula to overcome the updip force was deduced, and the apparatus that could overcome the updip problem were chosen. In the engineering application, this method could achieve good effect in construction, such as ensuring the conductor construction quality, improving the stringing speed, and reducing the unsafe factors of stringing.
