The scientific evaluation of electric power inspection benefits can improve its effective development. The evaluation index system of electric power inspection benefits was initially established, including economic benefits and social benefits, based on its basic work programs and impacts on various aspects of power enterprises. The economic benefits were divided into direct economic benefits and indirect economic benefits; the social benefits included the contributions of the aspects which were the promotion of regional economic development, people's living standards, social stability, electricity order guarantee, environmental benefits and others. Based on the combination of traditional AHP and interval estimation method, a comprehensive index selection model was constructed including qualitative analysis and quantitative calculation. The evaluation index system of electric power inspection benefits was selected by using the model. The results show that the model has stronger operability and higher application value.
