Abstract

Modular construction is widely used in third generation nuclear power plants, which shortens the construction period but increases difficulty of construction. In order to make structural module lift safely and accurately, the maximum deformation and stress for lifting modules are determined by finite element analysis. In addition, the components are evaluated standardly, showing that the modules could satisfy the lifting requirement. Results of finite element analysis provide a strong theoretical support for structural module lifting.
