Influential Factors of Large-Scale Wind Power Transmission Capacity
With the completion of the new national energy base, Gansu wind power project will be the largest wind power base in the world, however, it also faces enormous challenges.Those mostly lay on the four aspects: transmission capacity, peak load and frequency regulation, electricity accomodation and system stability. The highlighted issues of large-scale wind power transmission and accomodation have directly influenced the benefits of wind power companies and the development of wind power industry. In order to ensure the stable outward power transmission and active power accomodation in the new energy base, combined with the actual situation of the Gansu Power Grid, the issues are analyzed such as the main influenctial factors on the power transmission capacity of northwest 750 kV main grid and the local accomodation capacity of 330/110 kV power grid, as well as the impact of large-scale wind power outward transmission on the Hexi grid, based on the exposed problems of wind power transmission capacity in the Hexi area since the running of new energy base. Finally, the measures that could increase transmission capacity and ensure system stability have been proposed.
